Stunning beaches for a relaxing holiday

The main Phuket travel attractions, on the largest island in Thailand, are the many beautiful beaches. Long golden stretches of sand, overhung with coconut palms. For many tourists the beaches and the nightlife is the draw card. The town has many high rise hotels and timeshares, while tucked down the narrow streets are cheap backpackers and small hotels for those on a smaller budget.
Phuket Beaches
If you base yourself in Phuket travel around the island is relatively easy. There are so many very beautiful beaches on this pretty island. I am not going to try and list them all. Those I have......are beaches I have personally visited Patong - is the most famous attracting those looking for the beach by day and nightlife by night. Though beautiful it is busy.......... lined with deck chairs and umbrellas, and definitely not away from the madding crowds! Karon Beach this fine white sand beach is south of Patong and 3 miles long. While also geared toward tourists with umbrellas and deck chairs along the sand, it is a quieter spot than Patong.Kata Beach - a beautiful much smaller, quieter bay than Patong. Laem Singh Beach - is a stunning little beach, accessed down a rough path. We much preferred this beach to Patong, as although it could have a lot of people, it was smaller and more personal. A very pretty setting, with a few restaurants on the edge of the sand, we went here two or three times. More Phuket beaches you might like to research - Kamala
- Surin
- Rawai
- Bang Tao
and more.

Phang Nga Bay James Bond Island
When holidaying in Phuket travel round the islands. They are spectacular. One way is to do a day tour to Phang Nga Bay. You can take a cruise, kayak tour or longboat tour to this lovely little island located in the Andaman Sea. You land on the island where the James Bond movie The Man with the Golden Sun was filmed. It is a short, but pretty walk around the island.
Phuket Travel tours are a great way of enjoying the stunning scenery of the many islands, and the special rock formations which is a feature of many in the area. A villages of stilt houses over the water has stalls selling a range of crafts and carvings, and you can have lunch here.
Phuket Fantasea
With a 3,000 seat theatre and a restaurant that holds 4,000 this is a Fun Park with a unique flavour.Elephants Theatre has the Fantasy of a Kingdom Show which includes - pyrotechnics, indoor 4 dimensional theatre effects, magical illusions, aerial ballet, live elephants performing and much more.
This is an amazing stage show. There is the Similan Entertainment Centre and the Songbird Luminarie a beautifully lit stroll through a Palace Court serenaded by Songbirds. The Tiger Jungle adventure is a theatrical safari of twelve scenes inspired by Thai Legends and folklore. You can have a look here for a taste of what you might see at Phuket Fantasea We found this show highly entertaining and quite different to any other we had seen of a similar nature. It is well worth spending an evening here - where the lighting and atmosphere will leave a lasting impression.
Phuket Town
Phuket town is a happy mix of old colonial buildings, modern shopping complexes, apartment blocks and hotels, and night clubs, restaurants and cafes, markets....... Here you will enjoy a relaxed beach atmosphere. The main area for tourists is near the beachfront.
